This site has been experiencing technical difficulties in last couple of days. As far as I can see, it’s been some hackers playground. Things are returning to normal. Thank you all for your patience.

I finally went through my icons collection and this is linked list of free icon libraries I use for development. Most of icons are suitable for web and desktop development, lately I use them for Dynamics CRM development. I keep all icons in their own folder and use file search when I need specific icons...

If you go to gdgt you can download compiled version of Chrome OS pre-release in shape of virtual machine. Don’t expect too much, since it’s quite unstable, slow and it freezes a lot. If I didn’t miss anything it’s just Chrome browser that boots on it’s own. So, it’s far from XP/Vista/7 killer for now...

From time to time I use Bing for searching and couple of days ago I was pleasantly surprised to see image from Slovenia featured as a background. It’s taken in Triglav National Park , more precisely somewhere around Trenta . View Larger Map

WordPress is a breeze to install if you have PHP any MySQL in place. On Windows/IIS there are two dark holes, though. One is URL rewriting and the other is sending email about comments, forgotten passwords etc. Let’s talk about the second one today. If you enable SMTP email sending in php.ini you are...

I was pleasantly surprised today, when I found out I’m eligible for free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate as a beta tester. Although I didn’t report any bugs, I was granted a retail license key and a download of x68 and x64 version of Windows 7. That’s just great! Thank you, Microsoft! After installing Windows...

Did you notice any speed improvements...

I have lately began using Zenfolio as my main photo repository and gallery. Why? Picasa Web Albums is great for albums I want to show my mom/mother in law/sister/… since is dead simple to browse. I still use it. Flickr is great, but not for galleries and albums, only for couple of photos ni the series...

Sure, you could use one of thousand upload services like senduit . But there is easier way. Go to your Gmail account, create a new message, attach a file and save a message to draft. No go to other computer, login to Gmail and open your attachment from the email in draft folder. Simple, eh?

If you are in the market for simple but efficient program for doing web and desktop UI mockups, I would recommend Balsamiq . They offer web based tool (Flash), a desktop app (Adobe Air) and Confluence / Jira add-in. It’s quite inexpensive - $79 for a single user. I have been using it on and off for few...

While checking news about Live Mesh for Mac I realized that Live Mesh is finally available outside US. That's great news, but why didn't MS notify me as they promised when I signed up for beta?! Can't wait to put Live Mesh through some serious testing. This should be a kick as tool!
