These clinics will be free until the consumer launch of Vista, after which time they will be US $9.99 each. Please use and help to promote them while MSL is still offering them at no charge. |
Chappel & Associates: A Clear Microsoft .NET Roadmap, Gains on J2EE in Enterprise | |
David Chappell's recent blog entry asserts that the Sun-led J2EE alliance is at an end, inasmuch as IBM and BEA's J2EE market share now exceed Sun's. This raises questions as to what will succeed Sun as the dominant platform. Microsoft gets credit for the clarity of the roadmap for the .NET Framework, and Chappell highlights the fact that .NET has been gaining on J2EE in enterprises. "If the organizations behind its (Microsoft) competition don't reach consensus quickly on a single platform for Java developers, expect the enterprise popularity of .NET (and of Windows) to increase even faster." This is a great nugget for showing .NET momentum. (10/06) |
